Pennsylvania Trolley Museum

These two cars actually ran in the Pittsburgh areas, although they have lots of different trolleys from all over PA and the world. The museum currently has over 50 trolleys and is the biggest trolley museum in PA and one of the biggest in the US.
The PCC 1711 in the front was built in 1949 in St. Louis and carried passengers from Washington, PA to Pittsburgh on the interurban line and also to Charleroi. Car 1711 was retired from active service in August 1988, and acquired from Port Authority Transit in April 1990 for the museum. Part of the track the museum has was once part of the Pittsburgh-Washington interurban line and this trolley would have actually run on part of the still existing line, which is pretty amazing.

Car 3756 is a P.N. Jones low-floor car and was built in 1925 to replace older, heavier wooden interurban cars on the Washington and Charleroi lines. This trolley was replaced by the more modern and bus like PCC cars and was acquired by the museum in 1953, and was one of three of their original trolleys.
